Vladimír Houdek: The Third Landscape

The Third Landscape is a new exhibition project by Vladimír Houdek, whose painting maintains an ongoing dialogue with the history of modern art. The starting point of the displayed works is Caspar David Friedrich's painting The Chasseur in the Forest (1814), which Houdek reads as an image of human existence within landscape - a space where natural order intertwines with uncertainty, memory, and transformation.

The exhibited series understands painting as an open process: individual works do not emerge as isolated pieces, but as part of a continuous search. Color, composition, and space here do not lead to a single interpretation - rather, they invite slowness and focused perception.

The exhibition raises questions about humanity's relationship to landscape, to time, and to our own place in a changing world.
