Fourth Wave powered by Heroine: Princess Cosmoslesbian + Discussion

A feminist film cycle dedicated to films made by women, featuring strong female characters who challenge gender stereotypes. Film critic and distribution dramaturg Tereza Domínová introduces one film each month and leads a discussion.

This month: an Australian animated film awarded the Berlin Teddy Prize. Introverted Princess Cosmoslesbian Saira, daughter of flamboyant lesbian queens of planet Clitopolis, faces a crisis when her girlfriend Kiki leaves her - and is then abducted by heterosexual white mufoons, forgotten incels of the future. To rescue Kiki, Saira must find the royal labrys, the most powerful weapon of the lesbian kind, within 24 hours. She embarks on an inter-gay-lactic journey where she meets a problematic space ship and gay-pop refugee Willow. A vibrant, candy-colored animated adventure across the queer universe.
