Love Lies Bleeding

Late 1980s, a desolate American backwater. Lou (Kristen Stewart), a solitary gym manager, falls headlong in love with Jackie (Katy O'Brian), a muscular bodybuilder heading to Las Vegas for a title shot. Passionate love and German steroids drive the central pair into increasingly uncontrolled intoxication - until both set out to avenge old wrongs against Lou's demonic father (Ed Harris).

Director Rose Glass made a splash with this subversive thriller at both Sundance and Berlinale.
