Odyssey

Odysseus, king of the Greek island of Ithaca, is credited by legend and Homer's epics with creating the famous Trojan Horse, which sealed Troy's fate. After the battles end, he desires only one thing: to return home to his wife Penelope and son Telemachus. Yet his deeds have angered the gods, who will make his journey as difficult as possible. This is why the word 'odyssey' has become synonymous with a pilgrimage full of obstacles that push the wanderer further from his goal rather than closer to it.

While Odysseus faces gods, giants, and the enchantress Circe, his wife Penelope at home resists the suitors who seek both her hand and the kingdom of Ithaca.
