Kim Salmon & Smoked Salmon (AUS), Rány těla, Thee Lazy Eyes

Kim Salmon (born 1957, Perth, Western Australia) is a founding figure of garage rock and grunge. Over nearly fifty years of career, he has profoundly shaped the Australian and global alternative scene - Sonic Youth, Mudhoney, Nirvana, and Jon Spencer Blues Explosion have all cited him as an influence. Since the late 1970s, his name has been linked to projects including The Scientists, The Beasts of Bourbon, Kim Salmon & The Surrealists, and others.

Today he works primarily with Smoked Salmon - a conceptual music collective operating on the principle of geographic branches. The project combines new original material with fresh arrangements of songs from Salmon's entire catalogue, from The Scientists through The Beasts of Bourbon to The Surrealists. In 2025, the self-titled debut was released on Cheersquad Records & Tapes; this year it is followed by the new album Totally Sick!! (2026).
