Is It Worth It!?

What determines the value of a work of art? This question lies at the heart of Jan Strejcovský's situational satire - and it is one of the most debated, yet most elusive questions in today's art market.

The film explores this theme through controversial collector Robert Runták, gallerist Olga Trčková, and intermedia artist Jiří David. From a mosaic of their confident statements and unlikely encounters between different worlds, it emerges that story, reputation, time, taste, emotions, trends, and connections all play a role - but ultimately it comes down to an agreement between those who create art and those who pay for it.

Strejcovský also plays with the viewer's expectations: are we watching reality, or a mystifying provocation?
