Odyssea

Odysseus, king of the Greek island of Ithaca, is credited by legend and the poet Homer as the inventor of the famous Trojan Horse - the deception that broke the defenders of Troy and ended the grueling siege of the city. With the war over, he desires only one thing: to return home to his wife Penelope and son Telemachus.

Yet his bold deeds have angered the gods, who will do everything in their power to complicate his journey home. This is why the word "odyssey" has become synonymous with a voyage full of obstacles that lead the wanderer away from his destination rather than toward it.

While Odysseus faces gods, giants, and the enchanting sorceress Circe, his wife Penelope at home resists the men who seek to win her hand and claim the entire kingdom of Ithaca.
