About the venue: Monastery Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary

A deconsecrated Baroque church originally belonging to a Dominican monastery founded, according to the order's chronicle, in 1293. Its current Baroque form is the result of reconstruction after the 1669 fire, completed in 1688. Owned by the town of Šumperk, the church has served as a cultural venue since April 2005, hosting concerts, exhibitions, graduation ceremonies and other events. In summer it is open to the public with guided tours; the restored crypt is also accessible.

Ludovico Einaudi is an Italian composer and pianist born in 1955 in Turin. He is known for his minimalist style that blends classical music with ambient and pop influences. His compositions have featured in films such as The Intouchables (2011) and Nomadland (2020). Among his best-known albums are Divenire and In a Time Lapse.
