The Kala Zingarica project brings nearly forgotten songs of the Romani people from Horňácko and the surrounding region to new life. Singer and violinist Iva Bittová, together with cimbalom player Petr Pavlinec, blend tradition with improvisation and contemporary expression. Guest performers include the children's choirs Slavíček and Rosénka from the music school in Velká nad Veličkou and Veselí nad Moravou, led by Miroslava Zalubilová. The name Kala Zingarica references both fate and time (Sanskrit kala) and Romani identity (Zingarica).
The concert takes place on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance for Victims of the Romani Holocaust, which commemorates the tragic night of 2–3 August 1944 and honours the memory of hundreds of thousands of Romani victims of Nazi genocide. The Memorial to the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in Moravia in Hodonín u Kunštátu is administered by the Museum of Romani Culture.
