Iva Bittová and Petr Pavlinec perform on Sunday, 2 August 2026 in Hodonín u Kunštát at the Memorial to the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in Moravia. The Kala Zingarica project revives forgotten songs of Roma from Horňácko in a new interpretation, where tradition meets improvisation and contemporary expression. Bittová on violin and vocals joins cellist Pavlinec, accompanied by the children's choirs Slavíček and Rosénka. The concert honors victims of the Roma Holocaust and takes place at the authentic site of a former Roma camp from 1942-1943. Admission from 150 CZK. Bittová performs two dates in the Czech Republic during summer 2026.

About the venue: Holocaust Memorial of Roma and Sinti in Moravia in Hodonín near Kunštát

The Memorial to the Holocaust of the Roma and Sinti in Moravia stands on the authentic site in Hodonín u Kunštátu where a Protectorate so-called Gypsy camp operated in 1942–1943. It was one of two places (the other being Lety u Písku) where entire families of Moravian and Czech Roma and Sinti were forcibly concentrated before being transported to Auschwitz II-Birkenau. Administered by the Museum of Romani Culture, the site includes an information centre with the permanent exhibition "Camp Hodonín u Kunštátu: Intersection of Tragic Fates 1940–1950", a replica prisoner barracks, and the sole surviving original guards' barracks. The nearby Žalov forest cemetery is also part of the memorial area.
