Saxophonist Štěpán Markovič brings the AghaRTA GANG project to Agharta Jazz Centrum in Prague on Thursday, 23 July 2026 at 21:00. This is one of two Czech dates on his tour. The club sits in a Gothic cellar in the heart of the Old Town on Železná Street and takes its name from Miles Davis's 1975 album. Markovič reunites with longtime collaborators - saxophonist Michal Hejny, whom he worked with in the 1980s, and Imran, a childhood friend. The duo is joined by younger musicians: Vladimir Kliment on bass and Ondřej Kabrna on keyboards. Modern jazz unfolds in the intimate setting of a venue that hosts leading Czech and international musicians every evening.

About the venue: Agharta Jazz Centre

AghaRTA Jazz Centrum is a jazz club set in a Gothic cellar in the heart of Prague's Old Town. It opened on 29 September 1991 — the day after Miles Davis died — and takes its name from his 1975 album. Top Czech and international jazz musicians perform here every evening. The club also organises the year-round AghaRTA Prague Jazz Festival and sells recordings from the ARTA Records label.
