A traditional pilgrimage of drivers in honor of Saint Christopher, the patron saint of travelers and motorists. The event takes place in Ostrava at the Church of the Diocese of Ostrava-Opava.

About the venue: Ostrava-Opava Diocese

The Bishopric of Ostrava-Opava is the administrative office of the youngest Roman Catholic diocese in the Czech Republic, established on 30 May 1996 by a bull of John Paul II. The diocese was carved out of the Archdiocese of Olomouc and covers all of Czech Silesia and part of northern Moravia. The bishop's residence in Moravská Ostrava was completed in 2000. The main church of the diocese is the Cathedral of the Divine Saviour in Ostrava; the second episcopal seat is the co-cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Opava.
