Karel the Beaver, the greatest builder among beavers, ceremonially opens his enormous dam built with the help of rats. Meanwhile, Fox and Hare are throwing a party with their animal friends – but in the morning they discover that their friend Owl has gone missing and the forest is slowly flooding. Is Karel and his dam to blame? The pair set out on a journey to rescue Owl and save their home.

Beloved characters from the TV series come to life on the big screen for the first time in a film directed by Mascha Halberstad (Clever). The story is straightforward and understandable for the youngest viewers, while older children can appreciate the relationships between the animals and their similarity to humans. The film includes jokes for adults and songs.
