A national exhibition of rare wine grape varieties combined with the traditional Josephine wine tasting. The local exhibition will feature at least 500 samples, while the national section presents over 40 varieties - including Auxerrois, Breslava, Carmenere, Rimava and Aromína.

About the venue: Vinné sklepy Hovorany

The wine cellars of Hovorany sit in an important wine-growing area of the South Moravian lowlands, where viticulture is documented as far back as the village's founding charter. The cellars are spread across three sites - Na Benátkách, Hluboká cesta and Břehy - with the oldest, Benátky, built shortly after World War II. The cellar buildings reflect in the surface of a nearby pond, and the Mutěnická wine trail runs through Hluboká cesta. The Hovorany Winemakers' Association organises events here throughout the year, including the Open Cellars Day, a vineyard wine walk, a Winemakers' Ball and a national exhibition of rare grape varieties.
