Who controls our data, personal sovereignty, and political freedom? The exhibition DATAS: The Data and the Sovereign presents works by Czech and international artists exploring how computational technology, automation, and digital infrastructure undermine the sovereignty of both individuals and states.

About the venue: Goethe-Institut Prag

The Goethe-Institut Prague has occupied its Art Nouveau building on Masarykovo nábřeží since 1991 - the structure dates from 1903-1905, designed by Jiří Stibral with facade sculptures by Ladislav Šaloun, and previously served as the East German embassy. The institute runs German courses and official language exams alongside a busy cultural programme: exhibitions, film screenings, literary readings and concerts, all interpreted or subtitled so no knowledge of German is required. A German library is on the first floor; the ground floor houses Café Goethe.
