Nordic Walking World Cup in Bruntál

The Nordic Walking World Cup (ONWF World Cup category) with a point weight of 5,500 points brings competitors from more than 10 countries – Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Ukraine and others. The ceremonial opening with delegations from partner cities will take place on May 15, 2026 at Náměstí Míru in Bruntál. The actual race will be held on May 16, 2026 at the ZŠ Cihelní sports field in Bruntál.

Race day programme: 7:00–9:00 competitor registration and race number distribution, 10:00 start of 20 km race, 11:00 start of 10 km race, 12:00 start of 5 km race, 14:30 results announcement. The course runs along an extinct volcano and passes through a four-row tree-lined avenue awarded as the most beautiful avenue in the Czech Republic in 2022 – the local linden trees are 250 years old. The event is held under the patronage of the World Original Nordic Walking Federation (ONWF), the Czech-Moravian Nordic Walking Federation (ČMFNW) and the city of Bruntál. The entry fee includes refreshment stations, race package, chip timing, participant medal, toilets, showers and prizes for 1st–3rd place in categories.
