Visit the Winemakers of Velké Bílovice 2026

The "Visit the Winemakers of Velké Bílovice" event runs every year from April through the end of August, opening visitors' doors to the wine cellars of the Czech Republic's largest winemaking village. In 2026, the preliminary season starts on April 16, and the main season continues until August 26, 2026 — a total of 19 weeks. Each week, always from Thursday to Wednesday, 4 to 6 wineries are open, operating daily from 15:00 to 19:00. Throughout the entire event, more than 40 different local wineries will open their cellars, with some appearing in the programme multiple times. For a tasting fee of 250 CZK per person, visitors will sample a minimum of 8 wines directly with the winery owner; the winemaker provides a glass that you take home after the tasting. Visitors can find out which wineries are open in a given week on the information board in Osvoboditelů Square or at the local information centre. A map of the wine cellars and signs reading "Visit the Winemakers of Velké Bílovice" in front of each open winery make navigation easy. The map also shows cycling routes, so you can connect the wineries with a scenic tour through the vineyards.
