After Thirty – Documentary and Reportage Photography by ITF Students
Czech Photo Centre, Prague
The exhibition "After Thirty" showcases documentary and reportage work by students of the Institute of Creative Photography at the Faculty of Philosophy and Natural Sciences of Silesian University in Opava from 2021–2026. The exhibition runs from May 5 to June 7, 2026 at the Czech Photo Centre in Prague (Seydlerova 2835/4, Prague 5). The exhibition features various forms of documentary and reportage – from classical humanistic work through subjective documentary to highly personal images serving as a form of art therapy. Students from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and other countries are represented. Topics include wars in Ukraine and Sudan, the lives of people with disabilities, family relationships, and explorations of personal identity. The exhibition also includes projections, a selection of artists' books, final theoretical works, and professional publications. The exhibition builds on the jubilee review "Three Decades," installed in 2020 at the House of the Black Madonna. Another part of the students' work will be presented in autumn 2026 at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague. The opening reception took place on May 5, 2026, with the participation of Czech Photo director Veronika Souralová, Vladimír Birgus, and Ondřej Durczak.
