Forgive Yourself

A family art workshop inspired by the exhibition "Radka Bodzewicz: FAUST".

Artist Radka Bodzewicz draws inspiration from literary stories - poetry, prose, philosophical texts. In her paintings, she tells them in a way that invites the eye to wander for a long time, always discovering new threads. At DOX, she tells the story of the famous and lesser-known figure of Doctor Faust - a tale full of human longing for knowledge, love, power, and fame. Who hasn't encountered such a Faust in their surroundings or within themselves? What do we truly yearn for, and what demands does our time place on us? What must we give up, and what would we rather forgive ourselves for?

The workshop draws inspiration from the exhibition but remains intentionally modest - is ordinary paper, paints, brushes, and water enough for a person to express themselves today? Can we simply sit together for a moment and...? Forgive ourselves and rest?
