Amazonia

The documentary film Amazonia follows the story of Saïe, a capuchin monkey born and raised in captivity, who finds herself alone in the heart of the Amazon jungle after a plane crash. Unprepared for the wild, she must learn to navigate the dense rainforest and protect herself from jaguars, crocodiles, pit vipers, tapirs, and giant otters. Her only hope for survival lies in finding other capuchins.

French director Thierry Ragobert and his team spent two years filming in the Amazon in regions rarely visited by humans. From their documentary footage, they crafted a feature-length narrative with a dramatic arc. The film is suitable for the whole family.
