Freedom Celebrations in Photographs by Milan Vlk

A photographic exhibition by Milan Vlk in the salon of the Municipal Information Centre at Chodské náměstí 96 in Domažlice is part of the Freedom Celebrations commemorating the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Domažlice by the American Army. The exhibition is open from April 28 to May 31, 2026 during MIC opening hours: Monday–Friday 7:30–16:00, Saturday 9:00–12:00, closed on public holidays. The 2026 Freedom Celebrations offer, alongside the photographic exhibition, a military camp in the garden below Chodský Castle with period uniforms and weapons, a convoy of historic vehicles following the traces of the US Army in the Chodsko region, memorial ceremonies at the liberation monument, concerts by the bluegrass band Young Sparks and the Klatovy Big Band, and a theatrical performance "The Accidental Hero" by Patrick Dewan about the story of his grandfather Matt Konopa, who liberated Domažlice.
