Jackal Years

A musical comedy about freedom, independence, the red star, and rock and roll. The story takes place in Prague in 1959 near the Dejvice Internacional hotel.

Into the quiet small-town life unexpectedly arrives a "man from nowhere" - a young hooligan named Bejby. With his eccentric clothes, guitar, and passion for rock and roll, he stirs up the stagnant waters not only of the boys' world, but also touches the world of adults who try not to think about the times they live in. His arrival shakes up the lives of waiter's assistant Edy Drábek, district officer Prokop and his son nicknamed Kšanda, and in its own way also that of bar singer Milada and her husband, the arrogant secret policeman Přemek.
