Emirates' Iconic A380 Double-Deck Aircraft at Václav Havel Airport Prague
Letiště Praha,a.s., Prague
Emirates operates the iconic double-deck Airbus A380 on the daily route EK139/EK140 between Dubai and Prague. Regular service of this giant aircraft resumed on December 1, 2024, after a break of more than four years caused by the COVID-19 pandemic – the A380 last landed at Ruzyně in March 2020. The aircraft is configured in two classes and offers a total of 615 seats: 557 seats in Economy and 58 fully reclining seats in Business Class. Business Class passengers have access to an exclusive onboard lounge on the upper deck. The aircraft is also equipped with a state-of-the-art ice entertainment system. Flight EK139 arrives from Dubai daily around 13:00, and the return flight EK140 departs from Prague around 16:10. This is the only double-deck aircraft of this type that regularly lands at Václav Havel Airport Prague. The aircraft can be observed from viewing areas near Kněževes and Hostivice, or from viewing terraces in Terminals 1 and 2 directly at the airport. Emirates began flights to Prague in 2010, and the A380 first landed at Ruzyně in 2016. A380 service on the Prague–Dubai route is part of the winter flight schedule; during the summer period it is replaced by smaller aircraft types.
