About the venue: Cross Club

Cross Club is a multi-genre cultural club in Prague's Holešovice district, founded in 2002. The three-floor venue includes a café, restaurant, several bars, two indoor stages, a theatre and an outdoor area. Both the interior and exterior are styled in steampunk aesthetics with sculptures made from scrap metal. The music programme focuses on non-mainstream genres; in 2014 the club was named one of Europe's 25 best venues by The Guardian.

The Plastic People of the Universe are a Czech rock band formed in Prague in 1968. Drawing on Velvet Underground and Frank Zappa, they became a symbol of cultural resistance to the communist regime - their trials in the 1970s helped spark the Charter 77 movement. The band continues to perform in various line-ups.
