Human Zoo – Gospel Anarchy

Výstaviště Praha, Prague

Human Zoo – Gospel Anarchy is a large, colourful and loud multi-genre show directed by Viktor Tauš and composed by Roman Holý. On a single stage at the New Spirals venue in Prague's Exhibition Grounds, forty personalities from the Czech scene meet across genres — actors, singers, rappers, dancers, krumpers, performers and boxers. Music, movement, authentic stories and physical struggle transform into a ritual — a celebration of unity in all its diversity. Theatre as ritual, play at mass, funky gospel, liturgical anarchy. The script was written by Viktor Tauš and Meir Lubor Dohnal, poetry by Meir Lubor Dohnal, choreography by Kristína Tukan Martanovičová, scenography and costumes by Jan Kadlec. The performance lasts 150 minutes including a 30-minute interval and takes place in the Grand Hall. Recommended age: 12+. Special effects: light show, artificial smoke, strobe lighting. Thirty minutes before each performance, a dramaturgical introduction takes place beneath the stage with the director and creators. The show runs as a limited series of 50 performances. Realised with support from the PPF Foundation.
