Klan Baťa

The musical "Klan Baťa" traces the story of a dynasty whose roots reach back to the 16th century, revealing that Tomáš Baťa's success was built on family and generations of shoemakers - not chance. The narrative follows Tomáš Baťa, his brother, son, and grandson through to 2008, when all generations realize the same truth: the company was never about an individual, but always about family, shared vision, and the courage to move forward despite crises and personal conflicts.

The production is styled after 1950s Hollywood musicals, infused with contemporary rap and beatbox as symbols of the modern continuation of the family's vision. This approach resonates with younger audiences as well.

Before selected performances, backstage tours run from 17:30 to 18:30. Led by one of the actors, these tours explore the stories of characters FORMAN, WERICH, MEDA and MARTA - including fascinating details not visible on stage. Tours conclude with light refreshments in a picnic setting.
