Lenka Gálisová Quartet

Lenka Gálisová Quartet is one of the most distinctive young jazz ensembles on the Slovak music scene. Shortly after its formation, the group impressed both audiences and the expert jury of the New Faces of Slovak Jazz competition - in 2020 it won the Discovery of the Year award and the prize for a compelling vocal performance.

In 2023, the quartet released its debut album V znamení návrat (In the Sign of Return), presenting its own take on jazz standards and works by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, and Chick Corea. Their interpretations are built on vocal expression, musical interplay, and respect for jazz tradition.

The quartet has performed at numerous Slovak jazz festivals - including Pet Jazz Festival, Trnava Jazzy, Sobota Jazztival, Mikuláš Jazz Festival, and the International Jazz Festival in Košice. The concert takes place as part of the Jazz Goes to Town festival.
