Psychedelic Cinema: Psychonautics, Gabriel Loci open air

On August 24, the Gabriel Loci open-air cinema screens the documentary Psychonautics: Comic's Exploration of Psychedelics. The film plays in original English with Czech subtitles. After the screening, there will be a discussion in Czech with comedian Jiří Charvát.

The documentary captures his journey with both humor and honesty, full of moments of confusion and profound insight, offering an authentic look at the experiences of a real psychonaut.

Discussion host Jiří Charvát is a comedian, moderator, writer, and lecturer. He smoked a hallucinogenic toad and discovered that the "self" is an illusion. In his latest book How to Become Nobody: Awakening for Skeptics, he explains non-duality through neuroscience and empirical evidence in an accessible way - the book became the fifth best-selling title in the Psychology category in 2025 and has a rating close to five stars. He also teaches non-duality at weekend workshops of the same name.
