Holeček & Dvorská - Chrudim — R Klub, Chrudim

Holeček & Dvorská is an acoustic duo featuring singer and multi-instrumentalist Honza Holeček and rock violinist Eliška Dvorská. Their programme consists largely of original compositions by Honza Holeček, complemented by covers of Peter Hammill, Chris Cornell, and Led Zeppelin. Musically, the duo draws from Anglo-American folk rock, rock, and progressive rock.

Honza Holeček (born 15 April 1969) is a composer, singer, guitarist, and keyboardist specializing in the Hammond B3 organ. He has played in numerous bands including Freeway Jam, Red Baron Band, Energit, Luboš Andršt's Blues Band, Blues Amplified, and the Holeček & Marcel Project, which released the album "Light Up your Fire" on Supraphon in 2022. He currently fronts the revived Flamengo (Flamengo Reunion Session) and leads the project Livin Free, whose album "From Cradle to Coffin" (Supraphon, spring 2024) was created in part with drummer Winston A. Watson Jr., who played in Bob Dylan's band in the 1990s.

Eliška Dvorská (born 21 June 1984, Prague) comes from an artistic family and has played violin since the age of three and a half. She studied at the Prague Conservatory in the class of Associate Professor Jindřich Pazdera and received her master's degree from HAMU in 2010. As early as 1997, she performed in the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum alongside Josef Suk accompanied by the Prague Chamber Philharmonic. In addition to her solo career, she performs in the projects String Ladies and Purplemania.
