"It's jazz. It just doesn't sound like jazz." That's how guitarist Oz Noy describes his blend of jazz, funk, rock, blues, and R&B. Noy is from Israel, launched his professional career at age 13, and by 16 was already playing with leading Israeli musicians. At 24, he was among the country's most renowned session guitarists and spent over two years as a member of the house band for Israel's most-watched television show. Since moving to New York in 1996, he has established himself on the local scene with his distinctive groove-based approach.
