Fairy Tale Safari returns to Chomutov Zoo on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Visitors can enjoy a ride through the zoo on the Safari Express or the Amalka zoo train with fairy tale characters along the route.

About the venue: Zoopark Chomutov

Zoopark Chomutov is the largest zoo in the Czech Republic by area - the grounds next to Kamencové jezero cover 112 hectares. Founded in 1975, the zoo focuses on Palaearctic fauna and keeps over 160 species, including European bison, Przewalski's horse, Eurasian lynx and Pallas's cat. The site also contains the open-air museum Stará Ves with a half-timbered farmstead and windmill, and since 2023 a jellyfish exhibition. The zoo train Amálka runs through the park; the Safari Express takes visitors into the Eurosafari enclosure.
