L'Estro Armonico (Harmonic Inspiration) stands among the pinnacles of Baroque instrumental music and represents one of Antonio Vivaldi's most significant works. This collection of twelve concertos, published in 1711, marked a breakthrough in European music and inspired an entire generation of composers, including Johann Sebastian Bach.

A selection from this cycle will be performed by the FOK Girls' Orchestra under the direction of Vojtěch Spurný, a conductor, harpsichordist, and specialist in historically informed performance.

About: Vojtěch Spurný

Vojtěch Spurný (b. 1964) is a Czech conductor, pianist, and harpsichordist. He studied piano, flute, and conducting at the Prague Conservatoire and AMU, and early music performance at the Hoogeschool de Kunsten in Utrecht. He is permanent guest conductor of the South Czech Philharmonic and has served as chief conductor of the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic in Zlín since 2015/2016. He also performs on historical keyboard instruments and is active as a music editor.
