About the venue: Cross Club

Cross Club is a multi-genre cultural club in Prague's Holešovice district, founded in 2002. The three-floor venue includes a café, restaurant, several bars, two indoor stages, a theatre and an outdoor area. Both the interior and exterior are styled in steampunk aesthetics with sculptures made from scrap metal. The music programme focuses on non-mainstream genres; in 2014 the club was named one of Europe's 25 best venues by The Guardian.

About: Plastic People of the Universe

Plastic People of the Universe is a Czech underground rock band founded in Prague in 1968. They became a symbol of resistance against the communist regime — their persecution by the authorities in the 1970s was a key catalyst for the founding of Charter 77. Their music draws on psychedelic rock and avant-garde influences, with lyrics largely written by poet Ivan Martin Jirous.
