Clarinet Factory, a four-member ensemble, was founded in 1994 when all members were studying at Prague's Academy of Performing Arts (AMU). The group - Jindřich Pavliš, Vojtěch Nýdl, Luděk Boura, and Petr "Pepíno" Valášek - initially focused on classical and jazz interpretations.

The ensemble soon expanded its musical horizons beyond these traditional genres.
