An exhibition of paintings by Eva Maceková exploring biomorphic and organic forms, hybrid creatures and plants as a reflection on crisis and human alienation. Through the ambivalence between harmony and eeriness, the artist tests our capacity to perceive differently and offers an alternative to digital schizophrenia.

About the venue: Pekelné sáně Gallery

Galerie Pekelné sáně is a private gallery of contemporary Czech and European art in the centre of Kroměříž. It is housed in a reconstructed building that served as the stables of the 3rd Imperial Infantry Regiment in the mid-19th century, opened as a gallery in April 2023. Five exhibition spaces host more than 16 exhibitions a year, and every Thursday the gallery holds lectures and discussions with artists. The gallery was founded by collector and patron Josef Maixner.
