Bára Zmeková with Band

Composer and vocalist Bára Zmeková performs a special summer concert with her band at Jazz Dock. The programme features songs from her latest album Jediný na světě (The Only One in the World), unreleased compositions, and rare older pieces rarely heard in concert.

Zmeková's 2019 album Lunaves earned her nominations for the Anděl Awards in the categories of Solo Artist and Discovery of the Year. That same year, she won both the expert jury prize and audience award at the Czech Music Crossroads showcase, and in 2020 represented Czech music at WOMEX - The World Music Expo. This year she performed at Expo 2025 in Osaka and has just returned from her second Japanese tour.

She embraces experimentation and unconventional collaborations - her latest single Jiné stromy (Other Trees) was recorded with Norwegian tubist Daniel Herskedal. Her music moves between jazz, folk, classical music, and subtle electronics.
