Tea Ceremony in Unohana Style
Zámecký Park Dolní Počernice, Prague
A tea ceremony in Unohana style is part of the Tanabata 2026 festival, taking place on Saturday, July 18, 2026 in Zámecký park Dolní Počernice. Tickets for the ceremony can be purchased in advance here.
The ceremony is led by Markéta Sókei Reiter Fujita, a certified teacher of the Urasenke school with over thirty years of experience. Unohana style is a summer outdoor variant of the tea ceremony (nodate), in which all utensils are stored in a portable tea box (chabako) - allowing tea to be prepared in gardens, parks, and under tree canopies. Guests from the immediate vicinity observe the tea preparation, taste traditional Japanese sweets (wagashi or higashi), and receive a freshly prepared bowl of matcha usucha tea.
Program duration: approximately 30 minutes. Capacity is limited to 4 people per time slot.
Time slots: 11:15-11:45 / 12:45-13:15 / 14:15-14:45. Participants are asked to arrive at the Tea Ceremony stand 5 minutes before their chosen time slot and have their QR code ready.
