My Quiet Thoughts

Twenty-five-year-old Vadym makes his living recording and selling various sounds. He dreams of trading his life in Kyiv for a better future in Canada, and when he receives a generous offer to record the sounds of Ukrainian domestic animals and a rare bird living in Zakarpattia, he doesn't hesitate. There's just one complication: his mother ends up traveling with him by chance.

Ukrainian debut director Antonio Lukič crafts an imaginatively visual road movie with synthesizer music in the background, demonstrating an unusual sensitivity for tragicomic situations.
