In a small town in northern Bohemia, the brutally murdered body of a young woman named Anna is found by the river. The investigation is taken over by criminologist Laura Linhartová (Kristýna Ryška), who is paired with her former colleague Adam Beneš (Kryštof Hádek). A recently convicted offender with a similar murder on his record becomes the prime suspect.

Just when the case seems closed, new evidence emerges and the investigation begins anew - this time with an expanding circle of suspects and unexpected twists. Tension between Laura and Adam is heightened by their conflicting personalities and shared past. The question remains: Who killed Anna Pittnerová?
