My Quiet Thoughts

Twenty-five-year-old Vadym makes his living recording and selling various sounds. He dreams of trading his life in Kyiv for a better future in Canada. When he receives a lucrative offer to record the sounds of Ukrainian domestic animals and a rare bird living in Zakarpattia, he sets off without hesitation. One complication: fate assigns him his own mother as a travel companion.

Debutant Ukrainian director Antonio Lukič crafts a visually inventive road movie accompanied by synthesizer music, demonstrating an unusual sensitivity for tragicomic situations.
