Sat, 4 Jul 2026 · 21:00
Rene Trossman is an American guitarist who launched his professional career in 1985. Over the decades, he has performed thousands of concerts and been a fixture of Chicago's club scene - regularly playing on the South Side and West Side alongside Chick Willis, Diedra Farr, Byther Smith, Nate Turner, Iceman Robinson, Eb Davis, Lorenzo Thompson, Sharon Lewis, and others.
Trossman plays traditional blues in the West Side and South Side style as it sounded in Chicago during the 1950s and 1960s. The band builds primarily on his original compositions, while also returning to material by Otis Rush, Magic Sam, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, Earl Hooker, and other artists of that era.
