An exhibition of drawings and prints by German-speaking artist Rudolf Karasek (1895-1986) capturing the hidden corners of Cheb from 1926 and 1928. The show also includes an oil painting, a variant of which Karasek painted after his displacement in Regensburg.

About the venue: Gallery of Fine Arts in Cheb

The Gallery of Fine Arts in Cheb (GAVU) is a contributory organisation of the Karlovy Vary Region, founded in 1962. It is housed in the Baroque New Town Hall on the main square, designed by architect Giovanni Battista Alliprandi. Its permanent exhibitions feature Gothic sculpture from the historical Cheb region and Czech modern art from the 19th to 21st centuries. Since 2016, the gallery also includes the Retromuseum in the neighbouring Schiller House, dedicated to post-war design and lifestyle of the 1960s–80s.
