Dam of Sand

Marek is a young man who builds a dam around his inner self - to contain the emotions he once shared with Slaven, a boy from the neighbourhood. Three years ago, Slaven disappeared to Berlin without a word. When he returns now for his father's funeral, memories flood back along with him - old love and suppressed longing.

Their relationship - once forbidden and painfully interrupted - comes alive again, weighed down by family expectations and social taboos. The backdrop to the story is a flooded village whose inhabitants desperately resist the rising water. Marek tries to hold back what is flooding him from within. But emotions, like water, always find a way.
