Sugar (Some Like It Hot)

Sugar (Some Like It Hot) is a world-famous musical created from the screenplay of the legendary film Some Like It Hot. The story follows gangsters, millionaires, a female orchestra, the charming girl Sugar, and two musicians on the run. The musical was written by the trio of screenwriter Peter Stone, composer Jule Styne, and lyricist Bob Merrill. It premiered on Broadway in 1972 and became a hit on theatre stages around the world. In the production by the Divadlo Na Fidlovačce, directed by Radek Balaš, the main roles are performed by Aneta Krejčíková (Sugar), Martin Písařík (Joe / Josephine), and Lukáš Pečenka (Jerry / Daphne). Choreography: Jan Bursa, set and costumes: Šárka Hejnová. The premiere took place on April 27, 2017. The performance runs for 170 minutes.
