I'm Home, Darling!
Radek Brzobohatý Theatre, Prague
I'm Home, Darling! How shamefully happy can a marriage be? Judy and Johnny live in an idyllic marriage. She - a perfect woman in every way, maintaining an immaculately clean home, preparing a divine dinner every day, and greeting her husband with a perfectly mixed drink and warm slippers. He - the breadwinner. A traditional household arrangement set in the 1950s. Except it's 2022.
The washing machine and refrigerator are seventy years old and constantly breaking down. Gradually it becomes clear that being a domestic goddess from the old days isn't as easy as it seems. This play by contemporary British author Laura Wade, crowned with numerous nominations and the prestigious Laurence Olivier Award for "Best New Comedy" (2019), is performed not only at the Royal National Theatre in London and on the West End, but also on Broadway and in major theatres around the world. In the leading roles you will see a real married couple - Zuzana Kajnarová and Roman Říčař. That the role of Judy is predestined for Zuzka is proven by the fact that in London it was played by the actress from The It Crowd - just like here!
