Garáž and Tony Ducháček
Garáž - iconic figures of Czech music and underground scene with charismatic frontman Tony Ducháček. What more needs to be said? The band was formed in 1979, and the current lineup consists of the core trio: Tony Ducháček (vocals), Honza Macháček (guitar, vocals), and David Fikrle (bass), joined by René Starhon on drums and Honzík Pokorný on lead guitar. Their music gave us strength in difficult times; their concerts at the Na Chmelnici club were legendary. Garáž's songs and music are built on the personality of frontman Tony Ducháček, who is also the author of most of the lyrics, based on a unique peripheral slang. Garáž's music is loud and dynamic - you can tell they still love what they do. Tony Ducháček returned to the stage after a transplant and recovery in 2025 in impressive style - a sold-out concert at Vagon at the end of the year was hailed as an energetic "comeback", where the band performed their greatest hits. After all these years, Garáž has retained its power and authentic sound. The band has lost nothing of its strength and still has plenty to offer - it is far more than a shadow of past glory. They deliver exactly what you expect from them, which for a legend is not a shortcoming but a strength. Come see the magnificent Tony with his distinctive vocals and rock'n'roll guitars - simply Garáž!
