Grammy Award-winning legends in the magical Church of St. Wenceslas. The Klezmatics stood at the forefront of klezmer's rise to popularity 40 years ago. The genre's name comes from the Hebrew "klej zemer", simply meaning "musical instruments". They enriched this secular Jewish music with elements of jazz, Latin and Balkan music, and punk energy. Drawing from tradition, they continue to expand it with gospel and Americana, which appeared on their Grammy-winning album Wonder Wheel, where they drew from the legacy of American folk singer Woody Guthrie. For this year they are planning the album The New York Sessions.
