Pavel Trávníček's Birthday Talkshow — Kino, Blansko

A special birthday talkshow featuring Pavel Trávníček, the legendary prince from the beloved fairy tale "Three Nuts for Cinderella", with special musical guest Olinka Rumlová.

With his characteristic humour, Trávníček shares the most significant moments of his professional career in theatre and film, his family background, and his theatrical engagements. His life is a valuable document of the evolution of Czech theatre over the past several decades. He entertains audiences with brilliant and witty stories, reminiscing about fellow actors and film professionals who accompanied him throughout his career.

The talkshow runs for 70 minutes. Following the event, there will be a book signing for Trávníček's autobiography "Three Nuts for a Prince".

Pavel Trávníček is a Czech actor, voice actor, presenter, and director born in Konice near Prostějov on 26 October 1950. His mother Anna was from Slovakia and his father from Haná. He has a sister Marta, a music teacher. He studied at Brno's JAMU and soon received an engagement at the Mrštík Brothers Theatre there. He played his first film role as a student in 1973 in the fairy tale "Three Nuts for Cinderella" directed by Václav Vorlíček. Vorlíček cast him as the prince thanks to Jaroslav Soukup, who filmed his graduation project as a student. Vorlíček championed him for his state exam, where Pavel performed one of the roles; the director liked his acting and approached him, and Pavel accepted the role almost without hesitation. For his performance, he received the "Golden Dudka" award for best boy actor at the children's film festival in Ostrov nad Ohří, though his role was later dubbed by the late actor Petr Svojtka. Between 1975 and 1979, he played several film and television roles, mostly in dramatic works. In 1979, he appeared in the East German film "Snow White and Rose Red", based on the Grimm brothers' fairy tales. By then he was already collaborating with the Prague Činoherní klub and received an engagement at the E.F. Burian Theatre. Since 1982, he has been a member of Prague's Municipal Theatres, specifically the ABC Theatre and Komed.
