Národní technické muzeum, Prague
free entry
The National Technical Museum is taking part in the 12th edition of the Open House Prague festival, running from May 18–24, 2026. The main festival weekend on May 23–24 will open more than 100 normally inaccessible buildings and spaces across Prague to the public for free. Entry to open buildings is free and requires no advance registration. Most buildings are open from 10 to 18 hours. The festival kicks off on May 18 with a week of accompanying events – debates, lectures, guided tours, walks, and exhibitions. This year's edition focuses thematically on urban transformation, heritage conservation, and new uses of historic buildings. The programme is designed for the general public, including children, people with hearing or visual impairments, and foreigners – it includes tours in English and Czech Sign Language. A festival mobile app (Android and iOS) helps navigate the programme, displaying real-time information about building operations, queue lengths, and allowing ticket reservations for accompanying events. The festival information centre is located at Campus Hybernská (Hybernská 998/4, Prague 1), open weekdays 10–18, weekends 9–17.
