The Family Festival RESPEKT K PORODU has been organized by the Movement for Active Motherhood for 21 years and is the largest festival of its kind not only in the Czech Republic but also in Europe. The festival takes place on May 23–24, 2026 in Prague at Holešovická tržnice (Holešovice Market Hall) on the occasion of World Respect for Birth Week (May 18–24, 2026), whose theme this year is "Get loud and birth proud."
The festival brings together pregnant women and (future) parents with experts: midwives, doctors, doulas, psychologists, physiotherapists, and lactation consultants. The programme includes lectures, practical workshops on birth preparation, breastfeeding and postpartum care, expert consultations, a Maternity Hospital Fair, wellness activities for pregnant women, and a rich accompanying programme for the whole family – children's corner, creative workshops, concerts, theatre, and a festival marketplace with clothing for children and mothers.
Entry to the venue and accompanying programme are free (voluntary donation); tickets for lectures are purchased separately on the festival website.
