Summer Cinema: Five Plums

Vera lives alone and it seems life has nothing left to offer her. She misses the time when she was truly happy - the shared journeys with friends to the sea. Of the old group, only ruins remain, and it is uncertain whether they can even manage such an adventure. Yet she longs to set sail once more together toward idyllic coves and sunsets. She does not know that the greatest threat to the expedition will be neither the sea nor the old grievances that surface along the way, but their own children, who have no understanding for the crazy trip of their elderly parents.

Five Plums, directed by Jan Svěrak, starring Lenka Termerová, Oldřich Kaiser, Petr Kostka, Dana Syslová and Jan Vlasák in the lead roles, is a comedy about friendship, love and forgiveness.
